Julie and Gary @ Huskisson A massive thank you to you dallas for making our day a special one . Your beautiful nature together with your kind words made our vows that bit more special . It was a pleasure to have you as our celebrant

Claire and Cameron @ Huskisson Dear Dallas This is just a quick email to say many thanks for all your help being our wedding celebrant. You did a fantastic job and made us feel very happy and relaxed. Lots of people said you were the best celebrant they'd seen and that you spoke really well - so top work there! Thanks again for making our day such as success.

Jervis Bay wedding

How lovely was that to hear? Claire and Cameron's balmy beach wedding had to be abandoned and Plan B activated due to torrential rain. While they missed out on the sand and sunlight they made up for this with the abundantly happy atmosphere. Everyone was just sooo happy for them and the sun did come out long enough for photographer Nora Devai to whisk them away for a few photos.

Erikka and Sid@ Culburra Beach Uninhibited joy is how I would describe Erikka and Sid's beach wedding which was pretty much a day long festival of love. Errikka and her bridal party danced down the aisle accompanied by  The Hot Potato Band.

This high energy entrance continued throughout the ceremony and was followed by champagne - and more dancing - on the beach, individual picnic hampers, an oyster bar, canapes and sunset dinner.  Culburra Beach weddingCulburra Beach wedding

Isabel and Pete @ Coledale thanks so much for helping us to create such a beautiful ceremony- your guidance was invaluable. . Everyone absolutely loved it, and it was certainly a highlight of the day (which went on to have many more!)

Isabel and Pete had a backyard wedding but their backyard had the most sensational of views! A really creative couple they had a lot of input into the ceremony, choosing every word with care and their vows were really beautiful and meaningful. I loved every little detail from the words, to the bunches of wildflowers to the colourful cushions and parasols - it was all divine. Kiss Chasey took the photos and you can see more of their work here.

I know the picture of the bride and groom should take pride of place but this one of Kate and the horse is so gorgeous. Kate is a horse trainer and she and Warren were lucky enough to have their ceremony at the property where she works. Amazing views out over the mountains and the sea provided a glorious backdrop for a fantastic day!

Richella and Todd @ Upper River Hall Kangaroo Valley.Kangaroo Valley celebrant

The hall here is such a great secret location and they worked wonders on transforming it into a stately pleasure dome. Richella looked spectacular in a slinky silky sheath dres, carried an amazing bouquet of gingerand entered to the theme from Doctor Who which was a great start to a great ceremony.

"Dear Dallas, Thanks for presiding over our ceremony and for being such a charming, laid back celebrant. You helped make our wedding very special. Love Richella and Todd"

Nicole and Glenn were married at beautiful Riversdale, which is part of the Arthur Boyd Estate. It was an incredibly stylish wedding with many personal touches. Both Nicole and Glenn are architects and God was definitely in the details - bouquets, buttonholes and decorations created from watch parts, feathers, beads and old maps, they had nine gorgeous cakes on stands created by Nicole's mum, hundreds of crepe flowers were created and shipped from the UK - the wedding planning home base - and Nicole's dress was sensational featuring an antique obi sash. Glenn wrote most of the ceremony and it was quite a challenge to deliver, it required a real sense of timing and was a bit like a stand up comedy routine in parts so I was very pleased to hear that they were felt I did it justice.  Ross Pulsford took these beautiful photos and you can find out more about this sensational wedding (there's even an online tutorial to creating the flowers) by checking out one of my favourite sites: Offbeat Bride

Allison and Nathaniel @ Kangaroo Valley Allison and Nathaniel were married at Brogers End in Kangaroo Valley, just off the Upper Kangaroo Valley Road. It was a very wet weekend, which did absolutely nothing to dampen the atmosphere which was positively electric with enthusiasm. As Celebrant I am usually the first to leave and when I did I noticed that the tiny wooden bridge you had to cross to get to the farm was almost underwater. I did wonder if anyone would be able to leave and it turns out they were all stranded for the night! I have to say, out of the 300 weddings I have done this one will stay with me for a very long time, it just felt like perfection. You can see more of the gorgeous pictures here.

Kangaroo valley wedding

wanted to say a big THANK YOU for being part of our crazy wedding.  I assume you made it home okay - but were the only one. Not sure if you were aware but the bridge flooded so everyone was stuck for the nigh  what an adventure!!! Friendly neighbours helped out with beds for around 25 people, 20 or so camped in the 'catering' area of the bar with the camp beds and futons, we had 5 in our cottage and the ones that partied on till 2.30am slept on the hay in the shed. A few others slept in their cars and about 5 car loads got out when the water receded at around 2am (30 min window before it rose again). The rest of us were stuck till after 9am the next day as the water was over 2m above the bridge. Woah! We had such a fantastic time though. Definitely a wedding to remember!

Virginia and Adam @ Bosom Beach There were a few location dramas when a dead dolphin beached itself right where we had planned the ceremony and we had to change locations but Bosom proved to be perfect. Virginia  was a gorgeous bride and if you look at the picture of her with her mum and sisters below you'll see gorgeousness is a family trait! It was a lovely relaxed occasion with champagne on the beach and a reception at her dad's nearby beach house.

Adam and I wanted to say a BIG thank you for doing an amazing job at our ceremony. Everything we asked of you, you included and remembered. It means alot to us. It really was the perfect afternoon to get hitched down at Bosom Beach! Cheers and thanks again :-) Currarong beach wedding

Mollie and Chris @ Sydney Harbour Mollie and Chris had planned to get married in the UK where they both live but when it seemed that travel might be an issue for family members they arranged a ceremony in Sydney, near the Wharf Theatre. It was glorious day, the Harbour never looked better and Mollie was one of the most stylish brides ever. A gorgeous vintage look pale green dress teamed with amazing pink shoes and fascinator. Real old style movie star glamour - think Ava Gardner mixed with a little Grace Kelly!!

Hope you are well. I wanted to get in touch to say thank you so much for all your work back in March. It was a very tight turn aroud but the day went so well. The words that we all pulled together were lovely and the ceremony was just what we wanted. I am really enjoying reflecting on the day and I know I will for a long time. Mollie

Sarah and Steve @ Kullindi Homestead Hi Dallas Hope you and your family are well!! Hayley was a real Princess Bride, truly lovely! They exchanged their vows under an arch Chris made especially for the day - he even carved their initials on it.

Aaron and Angela @ Greenpatch. Aaron and Angela opted for a very low key, relaxed sunset ceremony at Greenpatch. It was a Wednesday afternoon, they had the beach to themselves - well apart from the 18 guests, and it was one of those weddings where bride and groom were completely in the moment. Aaron said he first noticed Angela's long, dark hair and Angela fell for Aaron's beautiful eyes. Looking at the pictures you can see why.  Greenpatch Beach Celebrant

Just one last note to say thank you. Everything went really well that day and you did a wonderful job.Thankyou from the both of us. Aaron and Angela.

Helen and Richard eloped to Greenfields BeachIt was just the two of them on a Wednesday morning. Unfortuantely even elopements have their stressful moments, Helen discovered she'd forgotten her makeup bag so had to make a quick dash to the Vincentia Bi-Lo - still in curlers - to stock up and because it was little overcast there wasn't anyone else on the beach, which was perfect except we needed a witness. Luckily Rod came strolling past on his morning walk and he was more than happy to stop and oblige. It was a lovely ceremony!  Nora Devai took these fab pictuers and the brilliant bouquet is from Shady Fig. Richard thought the bouquet was dark in the shop but on the beach it was bloomin' magnificent.

Casual and fun were certainly  the keynotes for Kirsty and Robert's wedding. They were married on Lake Wollumboola Beach, near Culburra. A real highlight was the release of doves which made for an even grander grand finale kiss. You can never tell what will happen if you're involving children or animals in a ceremony but the doves, who had been a little shy at the rehearsal, were right on cue for the actual ceremony. A fantastic moment!Beach wedding Culburra

Vanessa and Wil got married at Catherine Hill Bay. It was a very emotional wedding - even the photographer, who didn't know them - cried! Because Vanessa's one of my best friends it was an extra special occasion - I got to wear whatever I liked and stay until the end!

My ceremony:
My own wedding was a little bohemian and a bit of a production. We were married at the Bondi Diggers Club, now boutique apartments but then a great party venue, I wore a black ballgown and veil and I made my entrance to Dusty Springfield's "I Only Want to Be With You", my husband wore a kilt, we had 14 flowergirls all in fairy wings, a bagpiper, hired props from the Sydney Opera house and danced the tarantella instead of a waltz -  so you can see I'm a big believer in doing it your own way. You can see all my wedding photos by clicking here.Marriage ceremony
